I love going into my clinic every morning because I have one of the best jobs in the world. Every day I get look into the faces of people who have a lost hope about their health situation — and many, many times I get to tell them some good news…”Your body is more powerful than you know. I believe I can help you.”
Some of my favorite healing stories are on the home page of this website.
Fifteen years ago I would have been as surprised as anyone if you told me I would become a chiropractor – especially doing the unique kind of chiropractic care I do now.
I went to school to be an educator and I enjoyed teaching – especially math.
But then someone happened 10 years ago. I was laying face down in my own chiropractor’s office – asking all kinds of details about the science of chiropractic care – when I heard the words that would change my life:
“Andy, have you ever considered becoming a chiropractor?”
I always felt like I was going to do something special with my hands, but I never knew exactly what it was. My own chiropractor’s words were the final moment in a long string of divine and mysterious events that led me to go back to school…to finally do the work I believe I am meant to do.
I wasn’t new to the chiropractic approach to health and well-being when I decided to make pursue my passion. In fact, chiropractic care was a way of life for my family as I was growing up.
Short of having a life-threatening accident or infection, we always started at the chiropractor’s first when facing a health problem. After experiencing the injury I did, it just made sense.
While playing basketball in high school, I took a major blow to my ribs and chest…I couldn’t breathe. And though I didn’t break anything, my breath just wouldn’t fully come back.
I couldn’t expand my lungs fully – or move my chest. I felt like I was slowly drowning. Until chiropractic came to the rescue.
A brief adjustment to my spine opened up rib cage and a deep, full breath rushed into my lungs. It felt amazing to be able to breathe again.
I began a course of care with my chiropractor, and I felt profound results in the first month. I felt better. I functioned better. I knew I was going to make regular spinal maintenance a part of my life.
Here are a few more things you might want to know about me: I’m married and I have three children, two boys and girl. These little guys are my chiropractic miracles. Their spines have been checked since birth, and between the three of them, nobody has ever had a Tylenol.
I graduated with my Doctor Chiropractic Degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa in 2009, and with a Bachelor of Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2000.
